We had the pleasure of volunteering for BioR and helping restore native vegetation at Frahn’s Farm, a 550 ha property on Crown land in the eastern Mount Lofty Ranges. The property has considerable value for grassy woodland restoration and as habitat for declining woodland birds.
It was such a good day for planting. The event happens every year and if you’re up for it, we recommend you add it into your calendar! Usually it’s a big one day event with beautiful catering and other activities such as bird banding and installing bird boxes, but because of COVID-19 it had been split over a number of weeks with tree planting as the main focus. We would definitely recommend it for next year to get your hands in the dirt and help restore some local native vegetation.
